They are either directly obtained from the service website or from direct access to subscription for a specified period and are updated at least once a quarter as available on the service website. The Average Return per trade is derived from the service's published numbers or from actual trade data obtained from the service itself or from the service website. The calculation takes the total return and divides it by the number of total trades. For example, 200% cumulative return divided by 20 total trades would yield 10% return per trade

Option Service Review

Below is our review of various trading systems. Feel free to submit others to rate!

ProfitGrowerSystem.com - Swing Trade System
Rating: 1 out of 5
This site is run by an entity called WorldMarketTraders.com. They use earnings guidance as the source for their signals. The system issues signals for Day Trading Stocks, for Day Trading Options and for Swing Trading Options. The hold period for these options is 2 days. Although performance for 2005 was quite good, 2006 has not been. Please steer clear of this one, it is very volatile and subject to large losses.

10percentgainerforoptions.com
Rating: 1 out of 5

This site is run by an entity called WorldMarketTraders.com. The logic behind their signals is that stocks tend to retrace or continue the movement after a strong gap in the market. Strong gaps are usually caused by major news or events, like earnings, ratings change, announcements, etc. This movement is usually strong and takes only few days since the volatility increases, they look to get a 10% gain in these movements up or down in the underlying stock. They issue about 2-6 picks per month but it looks like they have only issues 2 picks in 2006 thus far, both losers. Please steer clear of this one.

BigTrends.com - Grand Slam Options
Rating: 2 out of 5
This site is run by Price Headly. is a graduate of Duke University and a member of the Market Technicians Association. He is also a chartered financial analyst (CFA) charterholder and a chartered market technican (CMT) charterholder. The site doesn't have any historical data or track record on picks. From our experience, this service buys a call or put option right before earnings or options expiration sometimes on technical indicators, and hopes for the best. Also, this service didn't do well during market downturns during our sample period of 3 months. The service is quite pricey as well at $299 per month.

ProfitGrowerSystem.com - Day Trade System
Rating: 3 out of 5
This site is run by an entity called WorldMarketTraders.com. They use earnings guidance as the source for their signals. The system issues signals for Day Trading Stocks, for Day Trading Options and for Swing Trading Options. The hold period for these options is 1 days. This system was more profitable than the Swing Trade system that got a 1 out of 5 rating. There is a lot of volatility in this service so make sure you don't allocate more than 10% of your portfolio to any one trade. During our sample period, this service returned about 1% per trade but traded 10-20 times per month.

PersonalHedgeFunds.com
Rating: 3 out of 5
This service operates like a mini hedge fund trying to make money on option premiums. They have software each night takes every Diagonal, Calendar and Vertical spread option combination on the listed exchanges and calculates a Power Factor for that potential option spread. The Power Factor is an algorithm of the relationship of the sell price deterioration and buy price deterioration. The higher the Power Factor, the faster the deterioration in the sell price and slower in the buy price. This service requires some patience, but can consistently return 3-5% per month over time.

BigStoryOptions.com
Rating: 4 out of 5
This site is run by an entity called WorldMarketTraders.com. The basis for the signals are the daily major news and events. They run predefined scans in pre market to identify trading opportunities and they are looking for substantial price changes from the previous close and liquidity criteria. The historical data they have on their site is back tested, so no one got rich in previous years using this system. That being said, it has generated nice monthly returns in 2006 with an average of 6% return per trade and approx 6-10 trades per month. We recommed this one.
